Maligayang Pasko (Merry Christmas)

This year there was a change to our Christmas holiday. It was our first Christmas as a married couple and it would be in our new home. Unfortunately we did not get to stay the night in our new home. My mother wanted to introduce to our family the Filipino tradition of Christmas.
In the Philippines they celebrate at midnight on Christmas Eve, feasting on traditional Filipino food and having a party, family and friends are to drop by. This then carries on into Christmas day where the children are to visit elder relatives and godparents.
Our Christmas was very jam packed. I am a little hurt that I did not get to spend my 1st Christmas in my home but this was important to my mom.
Our Christmas holiday started Christmas Eve dinner at James' parents, we did the traditional lobster feast and did the white elephant thing. We then got ready to go to my parents house and do the midnight celebration, which we did not get to experience to the fullest because we were so stuffed and tired we ended up falling asleep when watching a movie. We awoke at my parents and had champarado (chocolate rice) for breakfast and opened gifts. After that we went to James' parents to open gifts and then we finally got to open our gifts that we got each other in our new home. Then we spent Christmas day dinner at James' uncle.
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed my Christmas holiday but it was VERY busy.
And I am thankful for my family and my husband for everything they got me and everything they have done, I love them all very much.
(I will post pictures later)
